Everything in life is temporary, so don’t stress about today because tomorrow will be here soon.
Have a great day !
The second day of our Mangalore spiritual tour we first visited , Kateel Sri Durga Parameshwari temple then it was a 45 minutes travel to Hosanadu Annapurneshwari temple which is near to mudbidre, around 6km from mudbidre.
In this temple a main Pooja @12pm is being performed everyday after that prasada will be served to all devotees at free of cost.
The temple has a huge complex in front after entering the temple arch
With a 65 feet huge Lord Hanuman statue welcomes you , Purandhara dasa statue , colourfull idols of Radha Krishna, Goddess Durga and a huge rotating granite ball .
It has gowshala and temple elephant, horse bull, deer and rabbit a mini zoo infact . Very famous temple spread over big area. Not an historical temple but the one built during our time by an ardent devotee of the Goddess by name Sri Jayarama Hegde.
The entire temple surroundings are maintained clean and neat. The presiding deity is Goddess Annapoorneshwari who bestows on you all the prosperity.
There are tokens sold in the office for Annadhan for Rs. 200 if we buy it they offer us a plate of rice which we have to take inside the main deity Goddess Annapoorni, the priest here performs archana when we give him this plate and offers us a few grains of rice which they ask us to keep in our pooja room as it is sacred . It is believed that one who does this archana will never face any famine for their food in their life time. They call this ritual as “Akki samarpane.”
“ANNAPOORNE SADA POORNE
SHANKARA PRAANA VALLABHAE
JHAN VAIRAGYA SIDHYARTAM
BIKSHAAM DEHI CHA PARVATI”
A Slogan on Goddess Annapoorni meaning
Annapoorne – The Wife of Lord Shiva, She who is full of food.
Sadapoorne – Who is always full of resources,
Sankara – of Lord Sankara (Shiva),
Prana – The life,Force, Energy,
Vallabhe – The beloved,
Jnana – Knowledge,
Vairagya – Attitude of renunciation,

A traditional South Indian style of design was envisioned with shrines to Devi Annapoorneshwari, Prasanna Ganapathi, Shree Naga Sannidhi, Lord Anjineya Adi Sankaracharya and Madwacharya ,and the Navagraha. There is a seperate shrine of SaiBaba too .
The Mantapam housing the Devi shrine can accomodate over 400 devotees. The core ethos behind the worship of the Goddess Annapoorneshwari is the provision of meals to all visitors. The temple’s main dining hall, ‘Annapoorna’ is housed in an area covering over 6000 square feet with a capacity to accomodate 900 guests in each sitting.
Here in the Kshetra, thousands of people partake the prasadam, which is served day and night. It is considered a blessing to take food at the temple. Annapoorneshwari Kshetra is known for Annadaanam. Various Poojas and Maha Poojas are conducted with great devotion and grace. The Annual festival of the temple is performed with a lot of festivities.

Sri Durga Parameshwari temple Kateel .The temple is around 25Km away from Mangalore . You can visit Nellithirtha and this temple together.
This temple does not close from morning to evening. You can still have the dharshan of the Goddess Durga Parameshwari in the afternoon.
We had visited this temple during my mangalore spiritual trip. The deity is very powerful and believed to full-fill your wishes. This temple is a great source of positive energy.
Kateel (Kati) means in the middle, as it is situated in the middle of Kanakagiri and Pavanje .
The river Nandini flows below the temple. It is also called as boat shaped temple. If you visit the temple in rainy season you will feel as if the temple is like a boat floating in the river Nandini .
As per legends demon Arunasura got the boon that he cannot be killed by man, Women, Trimurthi or any living being with two or four legs. He got this boon because he got upadesha of Gayathri mantra from Jabali Maharishi , since then he was constantly reciting Gayathri mantra, he became very powerful that no one could not touch him .
Jabali Maharishi asked Narada to find a solution to kill this demon . He did penance in Nellithirtha. Due to the boon even Lord Shiva was helpless . Lord Shiva suggested Jabali Maharishi to impress Goddess Parvathi as she can only solve the problem .
Jabali Maharishi does penance but Goddess Parvathi does not get impressed . Later, Jabali Maharishi on the advice of the gods conducts a Vishwachandika yaga .
Arunasura comes to know about it and comes to spoil the yaga , but fails. The Chandika yaga pleases Goddess Parvathi, she assures Jabali she will indeed end the life of the demon but, Arunasura has to stop chanting Gayathri mantra .
Deva guru Brahaspathi visits demon Arunasura and suggests him that he is too great to recite Gayathri mantra . Arunasura falls in the trap and stops chanting Gayathri mantra.
In the mean time Goddess Parvathi comes in the form of Mohini and entices Arunasura. When Arunasura follows her she runs and disappears inside a rock . Arunasura hits the rock and the rock opens and a sparm of bees come and chase him. Thus Goddess Parvathi takes the form of Brahmara (Bee) and kills the demon . Hence she is also called Brahmarambika .
After the end of Arunasura, all the gods ask goddess to take shantha Roopa and stay in this place to bless the devotees, She agrees and takes the shape of Durga parameshwari.
It is believed that Jabali Maharshi had cursed Nandini (The sacred cow) daughter of Kamadhenu to flow as a river, when she refused to come to earth with Jabali . When she repents , Jabali blessed her that Goddess Parvathi will come and stay at her shore and her curse will be cleared.
The Durga Parameshwari idol is made up of gold, it is very small in size and only oil lamps light the sanctum. There is no light in the sanctum. Having her divine darshan only in the light of lamps is magical moment.
When you enter the temple, on the left side you can see the rock from where Devi came as Brahmara . There is Naga deva and Ganapathi inside the temple premise.
Devi is considered to be very fond of mallige (jasmine) so devotees offer it with prayers.
This temple does not close from morning to evening. You can have the dharshan of the Goddess in the afternoon section too though we went in the morning.
This temple is a great source of positive energy. Visit the same to feel it.
Many devotees offer black bangles to the deity. The same are distributed to the other devotees as it keep negative energies away don’t forget to collect them. You can get it from priests who distribute Theertha and Prasada in the temple.
Please visit the official website of the temple for more details

Once a monkey wished to die due to sadness, he pulled the ears of a sleeping lion….
The lion woke up and roared with anger: – Who did this ? Who has invited his death ?
Monkey :- I did, Maharaj, I am very depressed due to lack of friends and I want to die, why don’t you kill and eat me ??
The lion asked with a laugh :- Did anyone see you while pulling my ears ?
Monkey :- No, Chief !
Lion :- Okay, pull one or two more times, it feels very good 😀
The essence of this story…
By living alone, even the King of the forest gets bored….
So stay in touch with your friends, keep pulling their ears, dragging, blabbering… 😄
Don’t be dull, keep on having fun….
Believe that your mind will always be cheerful and you will always be healthy😁
Let’s live to live happily ❤️

From Kadri Manjunath temple we went to this temple by evening 7.30 pm. Our tour organizer insisted that visiting this temple in illumination is a visual treat , really we were amazed seeing the temple glittering in the light effects .
This temple is situated in Kudroli area (about 5 km from the City Bus Stand) in the city of Mangalore. . It is dedicated to Gokarnanatha, a form of Lord Shiva.
Built in 1912, is one of the main attractions of Mangalore. Sri Gokarnanatheshwara Temple is a unique Temple built by Sri Narayana Guru, the saint and social reformer from Kerala, and is the only one in Karnataka by Guru. The reformist Narayana Guru installed this temple for the Billava community, who were prohibited the entry to other Temples.
Gokarnanatheshwara, Lord Shiva, is the main deity. The main Temple is surrounded by the smaller Temples for Mahaganapathi, Subramanya, Shaneeshwara, the Navagraha, Annapoorneshwari and Anandabhairava.
One should visit this temple during evenings in illumination the temple glows like gold .
The whole temple seemed to be glittering in gold at the entrance a huge Lord Hanuman Saibaba and Lord Shiva pariwar were there and huge golden doors . Gitopadesham elephants and Poorna kumbham all were gold and was a visual treat at the backside of the temple was fountain show along with Lord Shiva in mountains.
This was the last temple for the first day of our Mangalore spiritual tour.

This temple is located in the heart of Mangalore. This is one of the ancient temples . From Kukke Subramanya after having lunch we reached this temple by 5 pm .
It is said that Parashurama who was living in Sahyadri, killed the kshathriyas who were cruel and donated the lands to Kashyapa. He prayed to Lord Shiva for a place to live. Lord Shiva assured Parashurama that if he performed a penance at Kadali kshethra, Lord Shiva would reincarnate as Manjunatha for the betterment of the world. As per Shiva’s orders Parashurama threw his axe into the sea and created a place for his penance. Yielding to Parashurama’s prayers Lord Shiva appeared to him as Manjunatha with Goddess Parvathi and stayed at Kadri for the betterment of the world. As per the orders of Manjunatha the sapthakoti manthras become the seven theerthas .
The chief deity of this temple is Manjunatha, which incorporates a Shiva linga. The statue of Lokeshwara in the seated position with three faces and six arms is tipped to be the best bronze statue in India. It is about 1.5 meter tall.
There’s a garden surrounding the ponds. When one walks down from there in front of the temple is a huge lightpole. During karthika maasa, deepothsava is held here.
There is a natural spring at an elevated location at the back of the temple. It is called Gomukha. It is believed that the water flows from Bhageerathi river, in Kashi and thereby it gets its name as Kashi Bhageerathi theertha. The water from this spring is let into seven ponds of different sizes adjacent to it. Visitors wash themselves in these ponds before entering the main temple.
There are statues of Machendranath, Gorakanath, Shringinath, Lokeshwara, Manjushri, and Buddha in the temple.
There was a young monk who was begging from house to house. There came a Rich Person who was super arrogant and egoist. The rich man started giving bad words and abusing the monk for no reasons. The monk was still cool, calm and composed. The rich man got wilder because he thought that the monk will lose his temper. So he started to shout more and give more bad words. Still there was no reaction from the monk. The rich man called him close and then pushed him into the mud. The monk fell and all his belongings scattered. But still the monk did not say anything and was very cool. This perplexed the Rich Man so he called him and asked the secret of the monk’s coolness.
The monk did not reply directly, but asked the rich man who was sitting on the horse. Sir, whose horse is it?
Rich Man: Mine obviously
Monk: If you give me this horse whose will it become?
Rich Man: I do not want to give you the horse but if I give you the horse it will belong to you.
Monk: Good, you want to give but I do not accept the horse, then whose will it become?
Rich Man: If you do not accept the horse it will be mine, obviously.
Monk: You gave me so many Bad Words, I did not accept any. So all of it is yours!
What a wonderful message is there in this story.
You control 100% of all your emotions, so next time you choose what emotions you would like to have.
Your Nature is not built in a day, so every incident will shape your life up.
Fill every thought with determination, every step with courage and every word with love.
Have a great day !
From Dharmasthala we went to Kukke Subramanya. The distance was about 45 km and it took 2 hours for us to reach .
In this temple Kartikeya is worshipped as Subramanya , lord of all serpents. The epics relate that the divine serpent Vasuki and other serpents found refuge under Subramanya when threatened by the Garuda.
Kukke Subrahmanya, one among the seven holy places created by Parashurama is mythologically and historically famous for “Nagaradhane”. Residing with Vasuki, God Subrahmanya showers his divine grace on devotees as the presiding deity of the Kshetra. It is also called “Guptha Kshetra”. “Mruthika Prasada” given here is regarded as sacrosanct. The devotees believe that the holy bath in the Kumaradhara Thirtha and Madesnana eradicate dreaded diseases like leprosy. Diseases related to skin, the devotees firmly believe, get cured here. God Subrahmanya has earned an honorific title “Annadana Subbappa”. Thousands of devotees receive Annadana everyday here . Special pooja are done for those having naga doshas and behind the temple is Adi Subramanya with a pond besides it . The temple is calm and serene .
Adi Kukke Subramanya Swamy
Sri Kshetra is on the river bank of Kumaradhara. Born to annihilate the demonic forces. Kumaraswamy Killed Tarakasura and other Asuras in the battle to Kumaraparvatha with his from this sibling Ganapathi. Devendra had decided to give away his daughter Devasena to him on “Margashira Shudda Shasti”. Accordingly the marriage took place on the banks of Kumaradhara Thirtha. Bestowing his grace on “Sarpa Raja” Vasuki, who was doing Thapasya at that time. Kumaraswamy assured to dwell along with Devasena in him. Since then, it is behind that Lord Shanmukha (Skanda) in his spiritual presence is residing with Vasuki in the shrine.
Five Thousand year old Temple: In the past Subrahmanya Kshethra, the edicts and Grantha inform, was known as Kukke Pattana. Shankara Vijaya authored by Ananda speaks about Sri Adi Shankaracharya visiting Subrahmanya during his philosophical conquest and his sojourn here. Reference to his sketra could be inferred from “Bhaje Kukkelinga” which forms a part of “Subrahmanya Bhujanga Prayatha Sthotra” composed by Sri Adi Shankaracharya. According to Sthala Purana many Devarushis installed Shivalingas in this Kshetra. Reference to such Shivalingas should be understood as Kukkelinga.
Sanathkumara Samhite in Sri Skanda Purana (a portion of it is called Sahyadri Khanda which describes pilgrimage places) informs that Subrahmanya Kshetra is on bank of Dhara. Sri Shanmukha Swamy after vanquishing Tarakasura and other Asuras washed his weapons of destruction in this thirtha and hence the name Kumaradhara is derived from this episode.
People affected by / suffering from Sarpadosha, whose diseases were not cured by medication, undertake sevas and these they are able to fulfill their wishes. During Subrahmanya Shasti the devotees participate in Beedhi Madesthana, the remover of their physical and mental problems. Not only that, the performing of Madesthana on Uchista of mass feeding and Uruluseva in the quadrangle are well known vows undertaken in this temple.

The first temple we visited during our Mangalore spiritual tour is Sri Dharmasthala.
We stayed in BNS residency Mangalore. We started after having our breakfast .
It’s about 77 kms from Mangalore to Dharmasthala. We reached in 2 hours by the time we reached it was about 10.30 am and it was little drizzling .
It’s in the state of karnataka at a distance of about 120 kms from Udupi .
This Temple on the banks of the Netravati River is called Manjunatheshwaralayam.
The temple was built in the 10 BC Anyone having unreasonable court cases will get resolve if they visit and pray before this Swami. That is the power if belief that prevails strong vibrations at this place. The Jains established the Moolavirat in the temple.
Amidst the piety and frolic of the temple town of Dharmasthala, situated at a kilometer from the Manjunatha temple and led by a beautiful pathway, is the majestic shrine of lord Bahubali standing at a height of 39-feet.
This shrine can be reached by climbing steps of the hill for about 20 minutes or by road. The hilltop renders a heart-throbbing view of the temple town Dharmasthala with a lush green background in the mornings and lamp-lit in the nights .The best time for the tourists to visit this statue is in the morning to get away from humidity and sunny weather. On top of the hill, there are shelters and drinking water facilities for the pilgrims.

Bahubali statue
Things have a way of working out.
Never underestimate the power of prayer, faith and love!
Have a great day .
A boy asked his father, “Dad, how big is God?”
Looking up at the sky his father saw an airplane and asked his son, “How big is that airplane?”
The boy responded, “It’s small, Dad! You can hardly even see it!”
Then the father took his son to an airport hanger.
Standing in front of one of the airplanes, the father asked, “And how big is this airplane?”
The boy responded, “Oh, Daddy, this plane is enormous!”
At this point, the father said to him, “That’s how it is with God! How big He is depends on the distance between you and Him! The closer you are to Him, the bigger He is in your life!”
HAVE A BLESSED DAY !
Nageshwar was believed to be known as ‘Darukavana’, which is an ancient epic name of a forest in India. Below is a well-known legends attached to this mystical temple .
Located on the route between Dwarka city and Beyt Dwarka Island on the coast of Saurashtra in Gujarat is this important Lord Shiva Temple. It is enshrined by one of the 12 swayambhu (self-existent) jyothirlingas in the world, in an underground sanctum. A 25 m tall statue of a sitting Lord Shiva and a large garden with a pond are major attractions of this rather serene place. Opposite to the main sanctum is a Trishul and a Nandhi.
Peoples are allowed inside the main sanctum if they pay Rs. 200 and have to buy pooja articles sold inside the temples and change to traditional dress inside the cloak room . Peoples having nagha doshas in their horoscope do pooja rituals with the help of the priests and offer silver nagas small idol (serpent) to get rid of their doshas .
The linga is surrounded by a serpent hood and is covered by a dome like structure made of glass .
There is a shrine for Sani Mahadev under the peepal tree outside the temple.
A mantap were yagna were done was outside the temple adjacent to the main sanctum.
As per legend is that according to the Shiv Purana, hundreds of years ago two demons Daruka and Daruki lived in Darukavan. Daruka was blessed by Goddess Parvati. However, he misused the blessings and terrorized the local folks. One such time, he imprisoned a local woman, Supriya. Supriya told her fellow inmates to take the name of the Lord Shiva (Om Namashivaya) and no harm would come to them. When Daruka heard this, he was enraged. He rushed to kill her but Lord Shiva appeared to protect her. As Daruka was blessed by his own wife, Goddess Parvathi, the Lord could not kill him so instead he took the form of a lingam and promised to protect Supriya and the local folks forever in Dwarka.

It’s too bad when people condemn people without realizing they themselves did the same thing.
Criticizing without reflection is such a hypocrisy.
Have a great day !

My definition of world peace
World peace, or peace on Earth, is the concept of an ideal state of happiness, freedom and peace within and among all people and nations on Planet Earth.
How to save trees
Trees are very important element on the earth. It can be said that trees are the lifeline of every living being because every living being, be it human, animals, reptiles or any other organisms; everyone is dependent on the trees.
But nowadays, lots of trees are cut down and numbers of jungles are being cleaned just for the sake of fulfilling the greed of human beings. As a result there have been various threats which have affected the ecosystem and environment of earth.
By observing all these issues and problems, a campaign to save trees is started which involves taking out processions, rallies and door to door campaign for spreading the importance of saving trees.
‘Save Trees’ is a slogan used to motivate people to protect trees in their area.
Trees are very important to us just like food and water are for life.
No trees on earth will lead to no life on earth hence saving trees is very important for us.
Trees give us life by giving us Oxygen and absorbing Carbon Dioxide.
Trees also help to have better rainfall and prevent soil erosion against floods.
Trees also give us woods, medicines, habitat to birds, and shelter to animals etc.
They also contain a whole ecosystem within them and support various forms of life.
Save trees campaign spreads awareness regarding the importance of trees in our life.
Campaigns, processions and rallies are organised to promote reforestation and tree planting.
Huge number of people gather and support save trees campaigns and request people to plant trees in their surroundings.
Trees are one of the precious gifts which have been given by Mother Nature to every living being and are also called as “green gold”.
Trees give us life by releasing oxygen and absorbing carbon di-oxide which is very essential for the existence of any kind of life.
Trees also act as a source of livelihood for many people as they get wood, leaves, fruits, herbal medicines and many more things.
Trees are the source of rainfall on the earth and also prevent soil erosion during floods.
Continuous deforestation and cutting of trees is making the environment of earth toxic and leading to various ecological threats.
Absence of trees will highly impact the rain condition giving rise to floods at some places and drought at another.
Climatic Change, Global Warming and pollution are highly affecting the environment of earth which are the side effects of deforestation.
In order to save trees we must plant more trees and people who cut trees should be heavily fined.
No unnecessary construction should be allowed which requires cutting of trees.
Illegal cutting of trees should be immediately reported the concerned authority.
Ensure sustainable and equitable use of resources without degrading the environment or risking health or safety.
Prevent and control degradation of land, water, vegetation and air.
Conserve and enhance natural and man-made heritage, including biological diversity of unique ecosystems.
With the increasing population, deforestation has increased since the last decade leading to various ecological threats. There is a famous saying that nature fulfills human needs but not human greed. The greed of the human race has given rise to many issues and the effects have been already felt in recent times.
Time has come to stop deforestation and it can be best done through campaigns like save trees with mass involvement then only we can make our earth clean and green.
My nominees
I nominate all my followers and bloggers. All of you! Now that I have nominated you, go and nominate other great bloggers and inform them. I would like my nominees to answer the questions above .
Thanking once again Mr. Kamal for this award.
Eagerly awaiting your response! 😇
The Somnath temple located in Prabhas Patan near Junagadh in Saurashtra on the western coast of Gujarat . It is an important pilgrimage and tourist spot of Gujarat. Somnath temple is the first among the 12 jothirlingams .
In the Somnath mandir the main deity is the huge lingam well decorated with chandan and kumkum with his consort Goddess Parvathi backside of the lingam , Lord Ganesha and Lord Murugar on both sides .
The site of Somnath has been a pilgrimage site from ancient times on account of being a Triveni sangam (the confluence of three rivers: Kapila, Hiran and Saraswathi).
The architect of the temple is amazing and it is said to be ruined several times and has been rebuilt again .
New mandir has main deity Somnath lingam and Goddess Parvathi back of the lingam and Lord Vishnu inside the main sanctum . We couldn’t come around the temple as light and sound shows has started only those having the shows tickets were allowed , we returned back and collected our bags mobiles and photos .
Soma, the Moon god, is believed to have lost his lustre due to a curse, and he bathed in the Saraswathi River at this site to regain it. The result is the waxing and waning of the moon, no doubt an allusion to the waxing and waning of the tides at this seashore location. The name of the town Prabhas, meaning lustre, as well as the alternative names Someshvar and Somnath (“The lord of the moon” or “the moon god”) arise from this tradition .
Legend goes that the moon was married to the 27 daughters of Daksha Prajapati. He was partial to Rohini, his favorite and neglected the others. An angered Daksha cursed him to wane into nothingness. A disturbed Chandra, came down to Prabhasa with Rohini and worshipped the Sparsa Linga of Somnath after which he was blessed by Shiva to grow and shine in the bright half. As the moon regained his light here, this town came to be known as Prabhasa. Bhrama, one of the trinity, installed the Bhramasila, and paved way for the construction of the temple.
The old Somnath mandir is opposite to the new Somnath mandir . Inside the main sanctum is the lingam of 3 feet height along with Saraswathy Ganga matha Mahalakshmi and Parvathi. There is a seperate shrine for Goddess annapoorni. In old Somnath mandir we were allowed inside the main sanctum and allowed to touch the lingam and do milk abhishegam.

Next to Balka theerth in Dwaraka was a temple maintained by Brahmakumaris . The temple itself was in the shape of a huge linga and we were waiting for others to come , our bus driver asked us to have a visit of that temple . So we entered the temple. In the entrance a small garden was maintained with a fountain in the center and the in main entrance was Lord krishna in Venu madhav posture with a flute in hand and leg crossed with a cow at the back . The temple itself was like a circular hall . Inside there were statues of many more God n Goddesses idols .
Every story has 2 sides so before you jump to conclusions make sure you’ve heard them both.
You might just be surprised what you find out.
Have a great day !
Gopi Talav is a mid size lake located around 20 kms from Dwarka on the way to Beyt Dwarka. The story behind the lake takes us back to Lord Krishna’s childhood when he was revered by the gopis of Vrindavan. When Krishna shifted his capital to Dwarka, the gopis couldn’t bear his estrangement. They came to meet him in Dwarka and performed raas on the day of sharad poornima. After the raas, they offered their lives to the soil of this land and merged with Lord Krishna. The soil here is fine and smooth bearing a yellow color and is believed to have divine properties that can cure many diseases, especially those related to skin. Today, many tourists purchase this soil, popularly known as Gopi Chandan, as a token of their visit.
There is a mandir of Lord Krishna, Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha and Lord Hanuman .
The whole area around Gopi Talav is made up of ghats for bathing with many shrines peppered around them. Many species of fishes and birds are found .
There are shops selling gopi chandan and pooja articles on one side of the passage to this lake .

Life isn’t meant to be easy!
