Parenting

Children moving away physically is not as painful as they move away mentally from u.
Though u accept it as the process of Nature it still bleeds ur heart.
Monetary help doesn’t fulfill the emotional need.
Unfortunately Nature has a strange way of making people more sensitive n demanding as they grow old. The very same playful words become more hurting.
The need for inclusiveness, possessiveness all grow strong with age. Expectation from their children becomes more.

The maturity in growing old is to overcome all these . Become detached with ur own emotions without getting detached from ur children. Understand their growing pressures at home n workplace. Do not compare with ur times.
Infact today’s younger generations r more responsible n more aware of their duties . They want to make their parents happy n comfortable in spite of their own problems n pressures.

As parents do not overload their worries . Be adaptive n adjustable to the changing times. Reduce ur interference in their personal matters unless asked. Appreciate the quality time u get with them . Be grateful for being a part in ur grandchildren’s growing up years. . Take care of ur health so u do not burden them with medical expenses. Learn to control ur advicing n comparing lectures. Unless self sufficient learn to control ur desires. Don’t put a price for ur parenting. It was ur duty as a parent done without expectations. They r doing the same to their children. Love n respect cannot be implemented. It should grow naturally.

Always remember whatever the relation be, wherever ur children are, if they r not happy , all ur comforts won’t make u happy. Ur mental peace lies in knowing ur children r safe n happy n having a good life .

In short be open, less intrusive, more adaptive, value theirs n ur privacy, be a part n enjoy the time u r with them, never advice , compare or complain. Be kind n helpful. Be practical with the changing times. If with ur age n maturity u cannot, how can they at their age ?

Make this bond a beautiful one to make their memories a happier one to remember in future.
