Ashada Navarathiri

The Vedic month Ashada (mid-June to mid-July) is dedicated to the boar-faced archetype Varahi, who is the performer Goddess and the archetype of material wealth .Goddess Varahi is one among the Sapthamathas . Brahmi , Maheswari , Kaumari , Vaishnavi , Varahi ,Indrani and Chamundi .

This year it started on June 20th by keeping kalasam and ended on 29 th of June 2020. Due to Covid 19 devotees were not allowed pooja took place in a low profile .

There is a seperate shrine for Goddess Varahi in Thanjavur Brihadeeswarar temple. Each day they did an alangaram with manjal , kumkum , sandal , butter , fruits vegetables and flowers .
